Our Nan, Rose was born on the 2nd May 1925 at Church Street (Homers Fold), one of ten children born to parents Harry and Rose Lunn. She had six brothers, Harry, John, Alan, Jeff, Terry and Derek and three sisters, Pat, Jean and Mill. Nan worked hard all her life in so many ways. From the age of ten she was sent to work cleaning a house for sixpence a week. Nan was working at Sanky's when she met the love of her life, our Grandad Joseph Eric Page at the Savoy in 1941. They started courting but in 1943 grandad joined the army and was sent to fight overseas, during this time nan found work as a bus conductress. Grandad came home and they were married at St leonards church in Bilston on the 12th August 1944. Five days after their wedding Grandad was sent overseas again to France. Nan sadly passed away with her family by her side on the 18th July 2011. She leaves behind three children, Robert, Christine and Lynne. Six Grandchildren - Rob, Phil, Wendy, Michael, Paul and Joe. Six Great-Grandchildren - Kim, Laura, Victoria, Sophie, Jordan and Lucas. One Great Great- Grandchild, George.
